Fighting loneliness with friendliness and coffee

There’s something very special about Christmas, we can’t really put our finger on it (because it will get sticky). When you think about it, it’s not just the frostings and the hot drinks, lighting candles and being surrounded by your loved ones. Christmas is a time for something extra, the time for giving, in different ways. Wrapping presents for your family and friends, but also looking up and greeting someone with a smile. Say hi to a stranger and spread kindness around you. Christmas is all about friendliness and sharing: gifts, smiles and treats!

We’re fighting loneliness with friendliness. And coffee!

At Espresso House we love coffee. Not only because it tastes good, but because it has a strong social power and brings people together. With our concept CupTogether, we commit to breaking down taboos and to fight loneliness – one cup at the time.

This year we support Danish Red Cross in their continuous work to help those who are alone, stand out or feel that they don’t belong. Every day, Danish Red Cross works to reduce loneliness and strengthening close relationships and communities through voluntary social work.

With every cup of filter coffee sold throughout the month of December we will donate 1 kr to Danish Red Cross.

And if you don’t drink coffee, don’t worry.

Social contact is proved to be the best way to fight loneliness. So just look up and pay attention to the people around you. It makes all the difference in the world
