What are your main tasks as a Barista?

- As a Barista, I see my main tasks in the Coffee Shop divided into three parts. I have to make sure that the service area looks inviting for our guests. It has to be clean, tidy and displays need to be filled. I make the drinks and serve the products that our guests will order. In addition, there is the guest area, which must also be tidy and neat.
The above three areas need to play super well together as they are crucial to the smooth flow of the whole team.

What made you choose Espresso House?

- I like dealing with people, I always have. Espresso House is a place where you can meet different people both behind the bar and in front. Being around people and working with a lot of different types of people attracted me.

It's important for me to have good colleagues with whom I thrive and can work well together. They are also the ones who make me stay. Good colleagues make the working day a good and motivating one.

What have you learned from your work at Espresso House?

- Working with so many colleagues has taught me to understand different types of people.
With such a big company, there are just so many different types, each with their own mindset and qualities. I have therefore learned to make the most of my colleagues' strengths and weaknesses and use them in a good and functional way.

When was the last time you laughed at work - and what was it about?

- Last time I was at work, just before I went home.
I love to tease my colleagues in a good and loving way and generally help to create a good atmosphere in the coffee shop. I think it's super cool and important to be able to laugh together, and so I guess I'm just the "joker" of the team.

What is the best thing about working at Espresso House?

- The best thing about being at Espresso House are the days where you work at high gear while having fun. When I work with dedicated colleagues and we have a super good flow behind the bar, time completely disappears. Oh, am I off already? That's me after an 8-hour shift, because time just flies when you're super busy.

If you had to describe Espresso House in one word, what would it be?

- Passionate. That pretty much describes us at the Coffee Shop. We are passionate about our coffee and the products we sell, but we are each passionate about our work as well.
